Welcome, Friend!

We’re glad you’re here! The Friends of the Hubbard Free Library is a volunteer group that fundraises and advocates for the library.

(we also help with whatever the library staff needs, from sorting books to hauling boxes!)

We welcome anyone who is excited to help build a community of library champions.

Whether you bring energy, ideas, advocacy, creativity, muscles, or simply enthusiasm, you’re a Friend!

Who we are

The Friends is 100% volunteer-run. We support the Hubbard Free Library through:

Fundraising

We raise money through book sales, bake sales, special events, upcycled craft sales, and more. Through fundraising, we've paid for new library park passes, furniture, summer programs, and more!

Friend-raising

We believe the library is a community builder. We’re always looking for more voices in our chorus of library advocates. Every new member strengthens what we’re building together.

Fun-raising

We take supporting the Hubbard seriously—but that doesn’t mean we’re always serious. We balance hard work with light hearts. We’re all in this together!

Our primary goal is to help the Hubbard thrive.

Sometimes that's through raising money, but sometimes it's through sorting books or upcycling old books into new art.

We’ve cleaned the basement, tended the garden, painted the downtown little library, and sponsored events. If you're interested in joining, there's something here for you!
